§ 04 / Studio

Venture Studio

We incubate, co-found, and capitalize companies inside the Darcode umbrella, sharing engineers and infrastructure.

Building an AI-native company from scratch takes most founders eighteen months to get to a real product. Inside the studio, the first year is pre-built — research, infra, design system, and operating playbooks come with the deal.

§ 01

What the studio is, exactly

Darcode Studio is an evergreen vehicle that co-founds and capitalizes a small number of AI-native companies per year. We bring the engineering org, the infrastructure, the design system, and the early capital. Founders bring the domain insight, the customer relationships, and — eventually — the leadership of an independent company.

§ 02

What founders get on day one

01

Engineering bench

Access to the same engineers that build for our portfolio — not a vendor, a co-located team.

02

Shared infrastructure

Inference fleet, eval harness, data foundry, observability — at portfolio-scale unit costs.

03

Pre-seed capital

Studio check sized for 18 months of runway, no external diligence cycle.

04

Design system

A production-grade UI kit, brand toolkit, and marketing site framework.

05

Operator playbooks

Pricing, contracts, hiring, GTM motions — written down from prior companies.

06

Board governance

Studio takes a board seat for the first two years and works in service of the founder.

§ 03

From concept to public

  1. 01

    Concept

Two-week paid sprint with the founder to test the problem and the wedge.

  2. 02

    MVP

Co-built product. Studio team carries 70% of the engineering. First design partners signed.

  3. 03

    Spin-out

Independent entity, separate cap table, dedicated CEO. Pre-seed round closed.

  4. 04

    Operating

Studio remains a shareholder and on-call resource. Engineering ownership transfers gradually.
